As builders and architects, we have the privilege of creating the homes and curating the communities where people will live their lives. This is why, when we design spaces that support physical, mental, and emotional well being, our businesses succeed, and our communities thrive. Without understanding the full impact that the physical surroundings have on the people who live there, our work can become very shortsighted.
As architects, designers, builders, and managers, we are vital in developing thriving communities.
Cynthia Dovell is an award-winning architect, chair of the Alberta Chapter of the RAIC, and founder of AVID Architecture. She experienced the difference that a safe living environment can make in your life when she attended the University of Toronto. After a childhood full of challenges and unstable living conditions, finally living in a safe space allowed Cynthia to reach her highest potential.
Cynthia founded AVID Architecture upon the belief that a space that supports physical safety and mental and emotional well-being can transform the lives of the people who live there. Her story is proof of the impact architecture can have.
At AVID Architecture, we believe that, together, our industry can transform the communities we live in and build spaces that create joy.
Join us in creating architecture that provides people with a sense of safety and well-being. From the bottom of our hearts, we believe that together we can inspire a nationwide movement toward infusing architectural design with care and joy.
And don’t worry, you are not in this alone. We are here for you every step of the way, partnering to ensure your success.
